Esther 1:11, Question 3. Why does the verse mention Vashti’s beauty twice?

Perhaps one could say that the “beauty” Achashverosh saw in his wife – her being a mirror of his image of himself – was complete, through and through. He very likely considered her kind, funny, interesting, witty, and everything else he thought of himself. This is what he wanted to display. However, Vashti was merely “good to look upon,” her beauty being no more than superficial appearances.
